A message from Mr Richard Hounsfield, our Chair of Governors:

 

On behalf of the governing body I would like to welcome you to our website.

The role of the governors is to work together on effective school policies and to be accountable for overall performance.  We also support the headteacher and staff by listening to concerns, talking through any problems and giving constructive advice where possible.

Garton on the Wolds is a successful small rural school that is run by a team of dedicated people committed to providing the best education for all our children. The governors endevour to ensure every pupil is given the opportunity to achieve their potential in a friendly and inclusive enviroment.

Our aims are to:

  • Act as a critical friend
  • Ensure accountability
