Class 2 Homework

Parental help with homework is vital to help children consolidate their understanding of work done in class. It really does make a difference and also allows you as a parent to see what your child has been learning. All homework is marked and kept in an individual folder throughout the year. The children know the homework expectations for the school, that homework has to be completed and the children themselves have to mark off in class to show that they have returned their homework on time.

All Maths homework will be related to work that has been taught or is being learnt in class. All spellings will be specifically related to the National Curriculum for Years 1 and 2, or phonic based. Spelling test results are sent home on Friday afternoons to inform you as a parent of your child's progress.

From time to time new times tables will be sent home so that you can help your child practise the times table your child is working towards. A display is kept in class of the tables your child knows and any times tables learnt will be celebrated in our Family & Awards Assemblies on Fridays.
