Welcome to Garton on the Wolds CE Primary School.  We are a rural primary school (3-11) situated in the beautiful village of Garton on the Wolds, just outside Driffield, in the picturesque part of East Riding of Yorkshire called the Yorkshire Wolds. The school is a central feature of the village and serves the wider communities of Tibthorpe, Kirkburn and further afield.

At our school, every child is encouraged to discover and nurture his and her special gifts and talents through a stimulating curriculum that has global, sporting and the creative arts dimensions, going beyond the basic national curriculum requirements. We are dedicated to achieving success and happiness for all our pupils.

We have a dynamic team of vocational teachers and support staff who act as exemplary role models, educating and nurturing each child, enabling them to achieve high standards of academic attainment whilst also enabling them to become capable, caring and confident human beings within our Christian ethos.

Alongside our hardworking, dedicated and highly trained staff is a whole community of parents and carers drawn from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures, each contributing to our learning environment and the school's wonderful and creative ethos.

Garton on the Wolds CE Primary School has the advantage of being set in beautiful grounds with a wonderful playing field and community play area for children to enjoy during break times and their PE lessons. We take great pride in our learning environment and use it as a tool for inspiring learning as well as celebrating achievement.

Finally, we promote a family and teamwork ethic which is embedded in the Christian ethos of our school. Education is a partnership between home and school and we place a great deal of emphasis on our partnership with parents. We believe that children learn best when home and school work together for their benefit. When your child starts school, it is not where your job ends and ours begins; it is where we begin our learning journey together.

Thank you for visiting our website. Navigate the pages to discover more about our wonderful school.

Our school business manager, Mrs Curtis, is the member of staff who deals with queries from parents and other members of the public.

With best wishes,
