Dear Class 3,

Our new topic for the Autumn Term is going to be the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings!

Over the summer holiday, it would be great if you could find out a little bit of information ready for our new theme. 

Here are some activities you could try with your family:

• Research where Anglo-Saxons and Vikings came from and where did they inhabit in the UK. Can you find and plot these places on a map?
• Build your own Viking Longship! You could use Lego, card or cardboard. Remember to research what they look like to help you design and decorate your longship.
• Create a fact file for a Viking God.
• Pretend you are a Viking. Can you write a story about your life and what it was like to invade England?

I look forward to seeing and hearing about what you found out when you return to school on Tuesday 8^th September.
