Dear Year 5,

I am very excited to announce that our topic for the Autumn Term will be World War Two and the Battle of Britain!

I have put together some ideas that might inspire you during the summer holidays - choose one, two (or all) of the project ideas at the bottom of my message to complete. It would be great if you could bring your finished projects into school to share with me and the class.

You might enjoy listening to Nina Bawden’s classic World War Two story, Carrie's War which is about 11 year old Carrie and her 9 year old brother Nick who were evacuated from London to Wales.

I hope you all have a wonderful Summer Holiday and I cannot wait to see you all on Tuesday 8^th September!
