The below consulation has now closed. In May 2025, the both the Governing Bodies of Barmby Moor CE Primary School and Garton on the Wolds CE Primary School, voted in favour of federating the two schools. This will formally commence from Monday 1st September 2025.

Since 2012, Garton on the Wolds CE Primary School and Barmby Moor CE Primary School have enjoyed a successful partnership, leading to the decision to explore a more formal federation.

Both Governing Bodies are in favour of this move, as we believe it will enhance the educational experience for all our pupils, promoting stronger ties and shared resources between the schools. We are committed to ensuring that any changes made are beneficial to our pupils, staff, and the wider community.

To ensure that your views are considered in this proposal, we are inviting parents/carers, staff and the wider community to participate in the consultation process. Further down this page you will find a copy of the federation proposal document and a frequently asked questions sheet to assist you in understanding the details.

There are several ways you can provide your feedback:

• Consultation Meetings: We will hold in-person meetings for both parents/carers and staff at each school to discuss the proposal in detail. The consultation meeting for parents/carers takes place on Tuesday 1st April at 5:00pm at Garton on the Wolds CE Primary School.
• Survey: A feedback survey is available to download further down this page and the online survey can be accessed at https://forms.gle/Y31AkBrtRjBfRSZUA . Any completed paper-based surveys can be handed into the school office.
• Written Feedback: If you prefer, you can submit your comments in writing via email or post. Feedback, via e-mail, can be sent to federation@gartonprimary.co.uk and written feedback can be handed directly to the school office.

The consultation period will commence on Monday 17^th March 2025 and will conclude on Monday 28^th April 2025.
