School Dinner
School lunch, or a healthy packed lunch, is critical to children's health and well-being,ensuring that children have the nutrition they need throughout the day to learn. Children in EYFS and Keystage 1 have milk or water available to them to have with their lunches. The children in Keystage 2 are offered water with their lunches. For children in nursery and Keystage 2 the cost for a school dinner is £2.60 a day. Children in Keystage 1 are part of the Governments 'Universal Free School Meals' initiative.
Lunches should be paid for, on the school Parent Pay system.
Children are of course welcome to bring their own packed lunch and drinks from home.
Please note we request that your child does not bring peanuts, peanut butter, or snacks containing peanuts into school. Thank you.
We remind parents that we promote healthy eating at Garton on the Wolds Primary School and request that chocolate bars and sweets are not brought into school for lunches and that children should only be bringing water into school to drink - no juice or fizzy drinks please.

Lunch Menus
Our lunches are prepared at Middleton on the Wolds School and they provide nutritional meals, with quality meat being provided by the local butcher. Food for Life Partnership is also an agenda within which our meals are prepared.
